The objective of this project is to advance forest sector international market diversification including market access through engagement and partnerships, and sharing Canadian expertise abroad.

Expected Results:

Under this project, the proponent will support the diversification of export markets for Quebec forest products, particularly in the softwood lumber, hardwood, flooring, wood construction, and biomass energy sectors. The proponent will also facilitate access to international markets (excluding the United States) in a context of increased trade, regulatory, and environmental barriers to priority international markets, including the United Kingdom, the European Union, Mexico, Japan, Korea, China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and the Caribbean.
