Program Purpose:
The objective/purpose of this project is to fund capital improvements at the Rocktenn-Container Canada, L.P. pulp mill in Matane, Quebec. This project consists of the installation of two biomass boilers with a combined capacity of 90,000 pounds per hour of steam in order to sustain 90 percent of the steam needs of the Matane mill. The mill's efficiency will be improved through the installation of the two bubbling fluidized bed boilers.
