Program Purpose:

The objective/purpose of this project is to fund capital improvements at the Zellstoff Celgar pulp mill in Castlegar, British Columbia, that will decrease process steam consumption, optimize wood utilization for the production of kraft pulp, decrease chemical usage in the digester (most notably the white liquor), and decrease the natural gas usage in the recovery boiler.
