The Project aims to address the performance and durability issues of fuel cells in vehicles operating in a wide relative humidity range. The catalyst coated membrane is among the highest cost components in a fuel cell, containing both the expensive platinum catalyst and perfluorinated membrane, and it dominates both the performance and the durability of the fuel cell. The objective of this project is to develop a catalyst coated membrane that can operate efficiently under a wide realative humidity range with minimal performance loss and improved durability compared to the leading industry standard.
