Program Purpose:
The purposes of these 10 technology showcase pilot projects is to : accelerate the adoption of new generations of energy efficient space and water heating equipment in commercial retrofit applications; to potentially reduce greenhouse gas emissions; and reduce energy use by up to 25%. This will help in overcoming key barriers to adoption. Canada is contributing about 1/3 and the other 2/3 comes from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, the Donner Foundation, Enbridge, and the Toronto Atmospheric Fund.
