Program Purpose:

The objective of this project is to provide technical resources, engineering expertise and laboratory facilities to develop modifications to update the current Canadian Standards Association test procedure, Measuring Energy Consumption and Energy Efficiency of Gas-Fired Water Heaters, to align with the U.S. test procedure and assess the impact of those changes on residential water heater energy efficiency. This supports the objectives of the Regulatory Cooperation Council and our Letter of Cooperation with the Canadian Gas Association.
