Program Purpose:

To explore the potential of airborne Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data to predict forest tree species common to Ontario and New Brunswick by testing and expanding analytical and software solutions developed at Université du Québec à Montréal, and to enhance modeling tools to permit operational scale application of this approach of enhancing forest inventories.
