Program Purpose:

The purpose of this agreement is to maximize the utilization of available forest resources on the Lac Seul Forest, including far and under-utilized forest species. A business plan for reinstating the ferry service on Lac Seul will be developed along with a safety infrastructure in the Lac Seul First Nation sawmill. This will strengthen partnerships between the First Nation and the forest industry by providing more cost effective fibre to area mills.
