Program Purpose:

The purpose of this agreement is to fund the development, validation and dissemination of a site-specific procedure (certification), to ensure that heat treatment conditions are met as required by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and CLSAB. This will ensure that lumber produced in Canada maintains its reputation as a quality product and ensures continued open access to foreign markets by satisfying phytosanitary import requirements.
