Program Purpose:

RCS Energy Services Ltd. (RCS) provides multi-disciplinary engineering and integrated services in mining, oilx000D
and gas, water and project management. The company is developing a proprietary soil remediation technologyx000D
(SRT) that will provide an alternative to the current treatment of crude oil laden produced sands and drillx000D
cuttings. The SRT is capable of treating and remediating these waste products to such an extent they could bex000D
returned back into the natural environment. In addition, the SRT would allow for the enhanced recovery ofx000D
hydrocarbons that have historically remained in the waste stream. RCS approached the Environmentalx000D
Technologies applied research group at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology to collaborate on thex000D
optimization of the SRT methods and process and move it closer to full commercialization.
