Discovery Grants Program - Individual
Program Purpose:
This project deals with the development and applications of semiclassical methods in physical systems with higher symmetries. Semiclassical methods provide an efficient way of understanding multi-particle systems in limits where the computational cost of exact calculations would be prohibitive.
The end goals of the project are applications to SU(3) and SU(4) systems, but a number of tools must be developed before the application stage can be reached. Examples of systems with SU(3) or SU(4) symmetries include 3-well Bose-Einstein condensates and some superconductors.
