Program Purpose:

Surepoint Technologies Group (STG) has approached SAIT Applied Research and Innovation Services forx000D
assistance to improve its hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) based technology that aims to reduce the greenhouse gasx000D
(GHG) emissions at oil and gas well sites. The technology uses catalytic decomposition of H2O2 as anx000D
alternative power source to natural gas. In the proposed project, SAIT will also design and fabricate a scaled-upx000D
catalytic reactor system based on the technology for higher pressure and thermal energy generation. STG willx000D
exploit the project results to continue the investigation into its H2O2 catalytic decomposition technology. Thex000D
project results will be critical to STG commercializing a viable catalyst decomposition system, with the nextx000D
developmental phase being a larger applied research project with SAIT. This will involve further design,x000D
system and performance enhancements as well as on-site trials with real-time data collection and analysis at oilx000D
and gas well sites.
