The nonprofit sector is facing increased pressure from funders to quantify the impact of their work improvingx000D
access to resources and funding. To increase their impact and reduce overall cost for program delivery, manyx000D
organizations have been adopting a "Collective Impact" model. Collective impact is, "a framework to tacklex000D
deeply entrenched and complex social problems through an innovative and structured approach to makingx000D
collaboration work across government, business, philanthropy, non-profit organizations and citizens to achievex000D
significant and lasting social change."x000D
Link2Feed is a company that provides emergency food organizations with software solutions to better managex000D
operations and resources in order to increase their level of accountability and report on overall communityx000D
impact. Lambton College's Information Technology Research group has collaborated with Link2Feed tox000D
enhance their software.x000D
The proposed project goal is to enhance Link2Feed's software. The project is focused on the expansion of thex000D
functionality of the software to serve other social service organizations, develop app, offline functionality, newx000D
reporting tools and leverage API for further integration in referral management and inventory management.x000D
The outcome of this project will increase Link2Feed's mark, enhance its revenue, create direct jobs and makex000D
Link2Feed as a lading company in this sector. The improved software will also provide social benefits reducingx000D
malnutrition, reducing not for profit's clients stress and increasing access to social services. A team of facultyx000D
researcher, one research student and one research graduates per year will work with Link2 Feed team tox000D
develop the software.
