Key Rehab is a Canadian company based in Kitchener, Ontario, providing rehabilitation services to individualsx000D
who have experienced brain injury. They integrate technology, software and data analysis to developx000D
personalized recovery plans that assist patients in recovery and re-integration following brain injury. A keyx000D
enabling tool of such treatment is the development of accurate, quantitative tools for measurement andx000D
assessment of motor and cognitive performance, that can be utilized in the clinical and home settings. Thisx000D
proposal seeks to develop a mobile tool for the measurement and assessment of performance duringx000D
rehabilitation following concussion, focusing on the vestibular-ocular reflex (VOR), the coordination of headx000D
and eye movements. The proposal aims to develop algorithms for measuring head pose and gaze directionx000D
during VOR rehabilitation using a mobile platform, and a user interface for providing measurement andx000D
performance feedback to the patient and their physiotherapist. The proposed system will be validatedx000D
experimentally with laboratory grade motion capture and in the clinical setting.
