Program Purpose:

Dynamic Air Shelters (DAS) is a Canadian company, a world leader in the field of portable blast resistantx000D
shelters. Dynamic Air Shelters designs and builds inflatable shelters for several applications, such as; disasterx000D
relief, military and aircraft hangars, mining, industrial, promotional and sport facilities. DAS seek, through thisx000D
project, to innovate by developing a new technology approach to manufacturing structural air beams. Currently,x000D
these beams are made by welding coated fabrics together. This method is not cost effective and becomesx000D
increasingly complex with high performance materials and larger beams. This is limiting development of thex000D
shelters' design. DAS would like to innovate using braiding technology to produce a non-permeable air beam.x000D
CTT Group (GCTTG), with the Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe have developed an expertise in braiding.
