Program Purpose:

The sprawling and sparsely populated land mass of Northern Ontario can make the delivery of goods and services across thex000D
region a challenge. New Day Wellness a workplace wellness training company has identified many unserved and underservedx000D
rural and remote northern communities and is proposing to use technology to turn this challenge into an opportunity. The industryx000D
partner is seeking to develop innovative workplace wellness e-training modules that are tailored to the needs of rural and remotex000D
northern communities allowing them to access untapped markets and grow their business exponentially. On a sector-wide basis,x000D
this project will lead to a healthier workforce, reduce health care costs, and foster more productive and competitive businesses inx000D
the region.x000D
The online interactive 6-week modules will provide clients in the North with differentiated, pedagogically-based, and culturallyappropriatex000D
learning material to ensure complete comprehension of course materials. Employees will not only gain new educationx000D
in areas such as mental health, physical health, nutrition, inclusion relationship building skills, resilience and interpersonal skillx000D
development, and many other skills, but will also develop the ability to apply these skillsets in everyday life. The courses arex000D
designed to help learners gain an understanding about their wellness responsibilities to themselves and others within thex000D
workplace and their personal life through comprehensive learnings and knowledge check points. Upon completion of each 6-weekx000D
course clients will be tested and provided with certification in their areas of study, leaving every workplace with trained healthyx000D
employees.
