Program Purpose:
This project aims to develop highly purified graphene and graphene oxide in large scale from the Albany natural source of high quality graphite currently being developed by Zenyatta Venture Inc. The project will initiate collaboration between Zenyatta Ventures Ltd and the NanoMechanics and Materials Laboratory (Nano M2) at the University of Toronto. The objectives of the project will be to both demonstrate the materials synthesis of graphene and graphene oxide, as well as demonstrate its proof-ofprinciple use for potential coating applications.
