Program Purpose:

Triangle Kitchen Ltd. (Triangle) is a leading Canadian manufacturer of high quality cabinetry products andx000D
accessories. Driven by the strong housing market and the excellent reputation it secured in this industry,x000D
demand for Triangle's products is currently surging. As a result, Triangle's production facility with its classicalx000D
workshop layout, despite sizable investment in equipment and systems, is unable to fulfill its incoming ordersx000D
within its target threshold of 4 weeks. The objective of this project is to assist Triangle in developing andx000D
implementing advanced facility layout techniques that are specially tailored towards its conditions andx000D
requirements in order to maximize the utilization of its resources, reduce/eliminate wasteful processes andx000D
increase productivity. We will also develop and implement suitable approaches for measuring the currentx000D
production capacities at Triangle. The outcome of the research will be very beneficial to Triangle, and the firmx000D
has the expertise and capability needed to use and apply these results.
