Momentaj Inc. is a Toronto-based IT firm specializing in cloud-based and data analytic services for thex000D
emerging Internet of Things (IoT) market. Building on expertise in communications and data-driven services,x000D
Momentaj is working to lay the groundwork for an Indoor Positioning System (IPS) and Real-time Locationx000D
System (RTLS) for IoT applications. Asset Tracking RTLS technologies enable the real time workflowx000D
management of products making it effortless to locate sub-assemblies and final products to fill client orders.x000D
Bluetooth Smart systems reduce the dwell time of a product on assembly lines to delivery chains ensuring thatx000D
all assets and products are visible. This works by affixing Bluetooth Smart (BLE) tags to workers, assets,x000D
assembly points, and finished components with the unique universal identifier configured to serial numbers.x000D
In this research project, Momentaj will collaborate with Ryerson University to establish a reliable base datax000D
transmission system that can be expanded to include the integration of smart building sensors to measurex000D
indoor environmental factors such as humidity and temperature. In this research project, the BLE system willx000D
be tested and analyzed, in addition to the development of the BLE sensor-enabled beacons. The results of thisx000D
research project will have benefits for Canadian industries such as Manufacturing, Warehousing, Travel, andx000D
Healthcare.
