Grants and Contributions:
Grant or Award spanning more than one fiscal year (2017-2018 to 2018-2019).
This research focuses on imaging and tracking of moving objects using inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR)x000D
techniques. The primary objective of this project is the development of ISAR algorithms that produce highx000D
system performance for terrestrial and spaceborne platforms. Initial system specifications will be developedx000D
alongside MDA Systems, Vancouver. Once the algorithms are optimized test setups will be developed in thex000D
lab in order to get real-world radar measurements and process them with the developed algorithms in order tox000D
demonstrate full system functionality. MDA Systems engineers will be engaged throughout the project. MDAx000D
Systems will receive direct benefits extending beyond the lifespan of the project. In the short term, the projectx000D
provides MDA with a unique opportunity to use ISAR imaging methods for their surveillance systems.
