Grant or Award spanning more than one fiscal year (2017-2018 to 2018-2019).

Recipient's Legal Name:
Rousseaux, Sophie (University of Toronto)
Program:
Engage Grants for universities
Program Purpose:

The cyclopropylamine motif is found in numerous pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. Therefore, methods tox000D
prepare these compounds are highly desirable. This Engage Grant will explore a new method to preparex000D
cyclopropylamines from readily accessible starting materials based on recent results obtained by the Rousseauxx000D
group in this area.x000D
Inception Sciences Canada has found that introduction of a cyclopropylamine motif in one of their smallx000D
molecule therapeutics is beneficial for overall potency while also leading to desirable metabolic properties. Thex000D
method developed by the Rousseaux group in the context of this Engage Grant will enable Inception Sciencesx000D
to rapidly construct a large library of cyclopropylamines and facilitate the synthesis of analogs.
