Program:
Discovery Grants Program - Individual
Program Purpose:
This research program will contribute original knowledge to many areas of organometallic chemistry, catalysis, and organic synthesis by providing a better understanding of hypercoordinated and cationic Sn(IV) compounds. That knowledge will enable the development of new Sn(IV) organometallic compounds that will be employed as reagents and catalysts in the development of new synthetic methods. The design and development of main group metal-based catalysts represents a challenging and dynamic area in organometallic chemistry. That interest is mainly driven by the finding of novel reactivity typically associated with transition metals.
