Program Purpose:

This project objective is the development of biosourced epoxy resins containing no bisphenol. The epoxy functions will be obtained by direct catalytic route therefore not involving the use of epichlorhydrin. It is proposed to use epoxides of limonene and limonene derivatives, as this material is an under employed by-product of the orange juice industry.x000D
The proposed work draws on the complementary expertises of two laboratories, the ones of J. Claverie specialized in polymerization of natural products and S. Kaliaguine specialized in industrial catalyst development. x000D
