Program:
Engage Grants for universities
Program Purpose:
Current regulatory-prescribed environmental protection measures create environmental, economic, and safetyx000D
risks for construction companies. The objective of this research is to examine, in detail, the fate of suspendedx000D
sediment resulting from in-stream construction activities to better understand suspended sediment exposurex000D
risks to aquatic ecosystems and inform the selection of construction methodologies when considering in-streamx000D
construction activities. Where possible, more pragmatic and sustainable in-stream construction practices willx000D
be developed.
