Program Purpose:

Annidis is a leading global developer and vendor of digital optical ophthalmoscopes for live human retinalx000D
examination. The light management componentry used in these instruments is at the forefront of photonics,x000D
and Annidis strives for ever-better resolution and throughput by continuous improvement of such devices andx000D
by introducing new photonic architectures enabling more diverse functionality and hence more acutex000D
differential diagnoses of eye disease and treatment. SUNLAB, led by Dr. Karin Hinzer at the University ofx000D
Ottawa, is a global leader in photonics for light management devices, and will partner with Annidis to establishx000D
sophisticated numerical design models for these new components. Accurate numerical models shorten newx000D
technology and new product development cycles, and reduce costs and business risk.
