Program:
Collaborative Research and Development Grants - Project
Program Purpose:

The projects described herein aim at the development of new synthetic tools, either reactions or reagents, forx000D
the preparation of organic compounds, in particular fluorine-containing molecules which are of high interest inx000D
pharmaceutical industry, in agrochemistry as well as in material sciences. Specific objectives are: 1) thex000D
improvement of the deoxofluorination reaction using OmegaChem's XtalFluor reagents; 2) the discovery ofx000D
new transformations using OmegaChem's XtalFluor reagents for the synthesis of fluorinated (trifluoromethylx000D
thioethers, trifluoromethyl ethers and monofluoroalkenes) and non-fluorinated compounds (aldehydes andx000D
1,1-diarylcyclopropanes); and 3) the development of novel synthetic approaches tox000D
pentafluorosulfanyl-containing compounds. Overall, these projects are significant in the context thatx000D
OmegaChem is continually working to introduce on the market new molecules that can be integrated to thex000D
design of more complex structures demonstrating innovative properties and increased efficiency.
