Program Purpose:

OTI Lumionics is interested in developing materials suitable for producing more energy efficient organic lightx000D
emitting diodes (OLEDs). Quantum chemistry simulations are at the heart of this search for better organicx000D
compounds. The research project focuses on the develop of efficient linear algebra algorithms to solvex000D
problems related to quantum chemistry. Both traditional high performance computing techniques and emergingx000D
quantum computing technologies will be explored. These results will promise accurate and rapid searches ofx000D
organic compounds suitable for OLEDs. The OTI Lumionics team will provide the matrix elements and Hilbertx000D
space structure of model Hamiltonians relevant to the company specific problem while the Roy group willx000D
provide expertise in high performance computing and quantum dynamics with a special focus on linear algebra.
