Program Purpose:

FREDsense Technologies Corporation has approached SAIT for technical assistance in developing its sensor technology that will use a cartridge based system to collect water samples and detect waterborne contaminants. In the proposed project, SAIT will review the current FREDsense manual system, which will provide the basis for the researchers to investigate design solutions for an automated device. This project will provide valuable findings for FREDsense to continue further research into an autonomous water quality detector capable of collecting, filtering, dosing, incubating, testing and purging water samples automatically. SAIT and FREDsense plan to use the project results to implement a larger scale research through Applied Research Development (ARD) funding to achieve the research development.x000D
