This contribution supports the implementation of a community planting event that will restore 1.3 hectares of fallow field. This event will engage hundreds of volunteers across the Greater Toronto Area and encourage stewardship of the Rouge Valley Watershed while restoring natural areas, improving ecological integrity and increasing connectivity by linking existing stands of forest with similar habitat.
