Description:
This contribution supports the long-term commemoration of the art and achievement of an Inuvialuit artist, Myrna Pokiak, for the $30 2020 Silver Coin produced by the Royal Canadian Mint. This project will create a large scale coin replica/monument and interpretive plaque. The art on the coin features the iconic Ibyuk Pingo, within the Pingo Canadian Landmark, along with many other images and symbols of Indigenous culture and history in a way that makes it relatable to Indigenous Peoples across Canada.
