This contribution supports and enables the George Wright Society (GWS) to support Indigenous peoples around the world to contribute and share Indigenous ocean wisdom, perspectives and experiences to a Special Issue of a Parks Stewardship Forum on Indigenous Leadership in Marine Conservation. The GWS Parks Stewardship Forum is an online, interdisciplinary journal of place-based conservation co-published by the University of California–Berkeley’s Institute for Parks, People, and Biodiversity. To be published in May 2022, the Special Issue is being developed in concert to IMPAC5 (5th International Marine Protected Areas Congress) Vancouver, BC September 2022.
