This contribution supports collection of airborne LiDAR data as part of the Alberta Eastern Slopes Water Resources Project, led by the University of Lethbridge. LiDAR data, combined with satellite imagery and field data, allows researchers to improve modelling trends in snowpack and land cover, and enables better understanding and accurate forecasting of Alberta’s water resources.
