This grant will (1) support the implementation Reconciliation and recognition of rights Agreement in relation to Parks Canada signed by Parks Canada and the recipient; 2) promote Wolastoqiyik participation in Parks Canada Activities on the Wolastokuk and build the capacity of Wolastoqiyik to participate in Parks Canada Agency Activities 3) promote the economic development of the Wolastoqiyik Wahsipekuk First Nation (WWFN) and create economic opportunities for the Wolastoqiyik 4) protect and enhance the Wolastoqey culture and traditional knowledge of the WWFN and promote their transmission and sharing.
