This grant supports engagement of local Indigenous participants with Gitwangak Battle Hill NHS by retaining a grounds maintenance instructor to teach grounds maintenance skills at Gitwangak Battle Hill NHS leading to increased employment opportunities for local Indigenous community. Evidence shows increased connection to and pride of site after Indigenous community members worked on site.
