This contribution supports the implementation of a community tree planting event that will restore approximately 1 hectare of fallow land within Rouge National Urban Park. This event will engage hundreds of volunteers accross the Greater Toronto Area and encourage stewardship of the West Duffins Creek Watershed while restoring natural areas, improving ecological integrity and increasing connectivity by linking existing forests with similar habitat.
