Description:
This contribution supports the creation and stewardship of three ecological corridors within the Mi’kmaq district of Kespukwitk, and the UNESCO Southwest Nova Biosphere Reserve. By connecting Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site and the Tobeatic Wilderness Area with the patchwork of provincial Protected Areas, Nature Reserves, working forestland, and conservancy lands to the east, the ecological corridors will tackle habitat fragmentation and ecological reserve islands through private land steward engagement.
