This contribution supports the Innu Nation Uinipeku Expedition’s Innu Youth Guardians capacity development which reflects Innu priorities and blends Innu and modern science knowledge systems to build a comprehensive and holistic understanding of marine and coastal ecosystems. The Uinipeku Expedition allows Innu Youth participants to learn how traditional ecological knowledge is passed down and honours how Innu culture and scientific insights can inform and strengthen scientific research and Innu Nationhood.
