This grant supports the Mi’kmawey Debert Cultural Centre (MDCC) and its curatorial team with resources to continue their work on Mi’kmaw artifacts at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. These ancestral materials are in the process of being repatriated to Nova Scotia, where they will be cared for and displayed to the public at the MDCC as it opens over the next couple of years.
