This contribution supports the Prince Albert Model Forest for Guardians of the Boreal Forest program, which will contribute to a sustainable reforestation in Saskatchewan’s boreal forest in a way that is grounded in and guided by Indigenous voices. Guardians of the Boreal Forest aims to employ Indigenous youth to collect, inventory and store seeds to build a seed bank for future reforestation.
