This contribution supports an Atlantic regional gathering of survivors and descendants of the former Shubenacadie Residential School from across Mi’kma’ki and Wolastokuk territories to explore healing and remembrance through Mi’kmaw and Wolastoqwey cultural and artistic traditions. The project focusses on documenting the legacy of the residential school survivors, as well remembering the children who never returned home from the school.
