This contribution supports the development of a bilingual film in collaboration with the Société Saint-Thomas-D’Aquin, Acadian Museum of PEI, PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation, Parks Canada and community partners called The Island’s Acadie: 300 years of history to discover. The film will speak to the arrival of French and Acadian settlers to PEI in 1720, with an emphasis on Francophone communities on the Island and Skmaqn—Port-la-Joye—Fort Amherst National Historic Site.
