Description:

This contribution provides a better assessment of the risks which represent the main commercial navigational activities, namely commercial shipping and whale watching, to which whales are exposed to in the lower estuary portion of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park and its surrounding waters. The project will provide data analysis and update an simulator of marine mammals and maritime traffic to assist working with stakeholders to reduce collision risk and noise exposure of whales.
