Description:
This contribution supports the updating of the “Navigating in Whale Habitat” platform, which informs users of the Marine Park and the entire St. Lawrence Estuary about the impacts of navigation on whales, the identification of marine mammals and the regulations in force to protect them. This platform is also a tool for citizen science, collecting data on marine mammals, and offering an online training program that represents an effective and proven means of raising awareness among the Canadian population of the need to protect our natural heritage.
