Description:
This contribution supports the second phase of the conservation of the stone walls dating to the original 18th century fortification at Fort St-Louis National Historic Site of Canada. The project will focus on deep repointing along the section of the wall that runs parallel to the seaway, repairing the masonry cap, the installation of stabilization formwork where needed, the installation of flashing to protect the skyward facing masonry from water infiltration, and finally dismantling of a section of the wall at high risk of collapse next to the Youth Centre.
