Grants and Contributions:

1. Offer of activities and projects to : Promote official languages and unite Canadians and Promote the French language and culture in Canada;
2. Offer of services in both official languages by non-governmental organizations; 3. Offer of provincial and territorial programs and activities related to learning English and French as second official languages;
3. Offer innovative methods and tools for the teaching of English and French, as second official languages, and knowledge dissemination; 5. Offer of official-language assistant positions and of summer language bursaries; 6. Offer of information and awareness activities to raise awareness among Canadians, especially those living in official-language minority communities, of language rights and the mechanisms for exercising those rights.

Recipient type is currently not captured in our current system. Agreement start date is based on the approval date and in some cases on eligible activities due to current system limitations.

Promote the full recognition and use of English and French in Canadian society. This program helps fulfil the government’s commitment pursuant to section 41(1) of the Official Languages Act.
