1. Canadians across Canada have opportunities to participate in community events that are open to the public and free of charge
2. Canadians have opportunities to participate in commemorative and celebratory activities/events of national significance
3. Canadians know about celebration and commemoration events/activities

Recipient type is currently not captured in our current system. Agreement start date is based on the approval date and in some cases on eligible activities due to current system limitations.

Provides funding to initiatives that commemorate and celebrate nationally significant [notable] historical figures, places, events, and accomplishments. The component supports the National Commemoration Policy.
