Program Purpose:
The objective of the 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline is to provide people across Canada with an easy to remember number to access live bilingual crisis support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from trained responders using the technology of their choice - voice or text. Access to 9-8-8 services in other languages may be available by phone via an interpreter for non-English or non-French speaking Canadians.
