The program aims to reduce the incidence and health impacts of sexually transmitted and blood‑borne infections in Canada by supporting community-led, evidence‑informed initiatives. It focuses on reaching key populations, connecting people unaware of their HIV or hepatitis C status to testing, prevention, treatment, and care, and scaling high‑impact interventions. The program also strengthens community capacity to prevent new and recurring infections and works to reduce stigma affecting populations disproportionately impacted by STBBI.
