Description:
Students on Ice (SOI) Foundation will bring together a group of 6 Canadian youth leaders and 4 expert staff for a unique delegation that will contribute to the global conversation, understanding, and collaborative action surrounding Canada’s role in the Antarctic Treaty, Ocean Conservation, and Climate Change. The delegation will include Inuit, First Nations and Southern Canadian youth leaders, who will each bring their own experience, perspectives, knowledge and background to the delegation. Youth delegates will join not only a transformative two-week delegation, but also affirm their roles within SOI’s life-long alumni network, amplify the voices of Northern Youth, inspire climate action, and promote the development and dissemination of knowledge of circumpolar regions, including the Antarctic.
