Description:
This project is in partnership with Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation (VGFN) with input from First Nation School Board (FNSB), this collaborative research asks what are VGFN perspectives on re-conceptualizing nation-led education. The research objectives are to: (i) articulate Gwich’in perspectives on epistemology (theory of knowledge), pedagogy (how we teach) and assessment; (ii) design a community-oriented document of these perspectives; and (iii) pilot resources that demonstrate framework applications.
